They say that
"retirement has nothing to do with age;
instead, it’s about well-earned leisure time after a life of hard work."
On this note, we are saying goodbye to our colleague Heidemarie Günther on 31
December 2020 after exactly 20 years at DTG in Magdeburg as she begins her
well-deserved retirement.
We would like to offer our express thanks to Ms Günther for her tireless
dedication, and her significant and successful contributions relating to
Berlin’s waterways.
We would like to wish her all the best for the future, and good health
especially in these difficult times.
In the
recently released special issue “Nordrhein-Westfalen – Das Wasserland” (North
Rhine-Westphalia – The Water State), ADAC presented to its members the range of
services offered by the network of waterways.

The roots of our cooperative activities in Berlin
go back to 1898. After moving out of the capital city just over eleven years
ago, now is the right time for us to return.
From 1 November 2020, DTG will be represented in Berlin once more.
In recruiting Jan Bergemann, we have brought on board an expert in the
waterways system who has, over many years, shaped the events in inland shipping
and waterway logistics in Berlin and the new federal states of eastern Germany.
He is sure to push forward the positive development of DTG with his expertise.
We are sure that with this reorientation in our organisation, we will have
taken an important step for the future.
From 2 November 2020, Jan Bergemann will manage our office
DTG Deutsche Transport-Genossenschaft Binnenschifffahrt eG
Westhafenstraße 1
Verwaltungsgebäude/Bereich F
13353 Berlin

We are
delighted to continue supporting young talent in 2020.
On 1 August 2020, we recruited a new commercial trainee for freight forwarding
and logistics services – Mr Lasse Küpper.
Mr Küpper will first be working in the Duisburg scheduling department and, over
the course of his traineeship, he will also get to know other departments and
branches.
